Plenish Juice Cleanse Review

Tested & Reviewed by JuiceAdvisor.co.uk

Plenish is a plant-powered drinks brand from the UK. It was one of the first brands to produce a cold-pressed cleanse — by cold pressing juices, you extract 100% of the nutrients — and is focused on minimising impact on the planet and ensuring all ingredients are sustainably sourced.

Plenish drinks also include a range of vegan m*lks, juice shots and a 5:2 juice fasting programme. You can find some of their products available at Sainsburys and Ocado, but for the complete juice cleanse bundles, you’ll need to head directly to their website — www.plenish.com.

Plenish’s cleanse programmes are catered to all levels of experience. Whether you’re new to the cleansing game or it’s old hat, there’s a level to suit every need. They promise weight loss, renewed energy and glowing skin as a result of these plans, so let’s see how it all stacks up in our Plenish Review.

Once you have received the cold-pressed juices, they need to be stored in the fridge directly. Plenish provides a timetable for when to consume each drink, according to benefits at certain times of the day i.e. Pump in the morning for a natural energy kick, Savour as the final juice for a system detox. They also advise taking certain steps to fully prepare your body pre and post cleanse, such as weaning yourself off caffeine and sugar. The full information can be found on their website.

Things we like about Plenish Drinks

High nutritional value — to actually reach your goals

Each bottle of juice contains ±1kg of organic produce — which is the same as chomping through two bags of carrots. It’s a LOT. In total you’re consuming 6kg of organic produce a day. The cold-pressing technique means that nutrients are supposedly well-preserved and all of the juices are vegan, organic and gluten free with no added preservatives or additives.

Many of the juices are high in Vitamin A, C and iron for supporting strong immunity, which is highly beneficial during the colder months. The juices also pack in a wide range of vegetables, rather than just fruit for a lower sugar and beneficial antioxidants.

A wide variety of delicious flavours

Happily, this cleanse offers a wide variety of ingredients and flavour per bottle, so you won’t be stuck on a strict regime of green juices. It definitely makes it easier to make it through the day, and you might even find yourself looking forward to discovering the next flavour. We loved the taste — our favourites were Savour, Kick and Lift — and consuming 6 x 500ml juices per day leaves you feeling satisfied and quashes cravings.

High quality and high quantity of organic produce

We won’t lie, it doesn’t come cheap. A 1 day cleanse bundle (including 6 bottles of juice) is £59, whilst the full 7 day offer is £413. To feel the real benefits, we would suggest a cleanse of between 3 – 5 days.

The juice cleanses offered by Plenish are certainly on the more expensive end of the scale, however there is real value for money in these packages. Each bottle is jam-packed with ingredients and you get a very decent amount of juice in 500ml bottles – that’s 3 litres of certified organic fruits & vegs per day – more than most other juice cleanses you can find on the market.

Plenish also offers useful tips on handling hunger, what to expect and they are transparent with exactly what is in each juice.

Other Buying Considerations

Plenish has had some issues with its delivery service, according to their Trust Pilot reviews — they’re not exactly glowing. But it seems as though the company has dealt with this in the more recent months and are now offering free, next day delivery in the UK.

Make sure to keep your fluids up whilst cleansing. Plenish advises to start the day with a hot lemon tea and to drink water in between each juice.

Consult your GP before starting a cleanse — especially if you have any concerns or health complaints. If you are pregnant, elderly or breastfeeding, Plenish advise not to do a juice cleanse. Instead, Plenish recommends drinking a juice to add into your daily healthy eating plan.
